成都大熊猫繁育研究基地是经成都市人民政府批准，在国家建设部、林业部支持下，为保护拯救珍稀濒危动物大熊猫而兴建的具有世界先进水平的科研机构。基地建于1987年，以造园手法模拟大熊猫野外生态环境，绿化覆盖率高达96%。已建成了科研楼、实验室、兽医院、大熊猫产房、仿生兽舍及活动场、黑劲鹤养殖场、天鹅湖、大熊猫博物馆、综合服务部等基础设施，形成竹木苍翠，鸟语花香，集自然山野风光和优美人工景观为一体的，适宜大熊猫及多种珍稀野生动物生息繁衍的生态环境。

Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base
Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base is a scientific research institute founded with the approval of Chengdu Municipal Government, the support of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Forestry and the purpose to protect this endangered species-- giant panda. The Base, established in 1987, looks like a big wild forest which is suitable for the wild life of giant pandas. The green coverage reaches to 96% of the land which provides you with such infrastructures as research buildings, laboratories, animal hospitals, panda delivery rooms, animal cottages with playing ground, black neck cranes breeding ranch, swan lake, giant panda museum, comprehensive services etc. With its  flowers and singing birds, the Base is considered a naturally ecological environment for the propagation of giant pandas and various kinds of precious species.
